INTRODUCTION
The Hungarian Medical Association of America – Transylvanian Chapter (HMAA-TC) is a professional organization dedicated to supporting Transylvanian medical students, residents, and physicians through mentorship, international collaboration, and educational exchange.
As an official chapter of the Hungarian Medical Association of America, HMAA-TC serves as a bridge between Transylvania and the international Hungarian medical diaspora, fostering professional excellence, academic development, and long-term institutional partnerships. Our work is focused on empowering the next generation of physicians while strengthening healthcare systems and academic medicine in Transylvania through global collaboration.

HMAA-TC has developed several strategic programs to support education, mentorship, and international collaboration:
Summer Clinical Training Program
Structured hospital-based training opportunities for Transylvanian Hungarian medical students, strengthening clinical skills and supporting the future healthcare workforce in their home region.
Medical Mentorship Program
A professional mentorship network connecting experienced physicians from Transylvania and the international Hungarian diaspora with students and young physicians, providing guidance, career development, and international perspective.
Resident Scholarship and Exchange Programs
Scholarship opportunities that enable young physicians and residents to gain international clinical and academic experience, with the goal of transferring knowledge and strengthening healthcare in Transylvania.
EduTravels (Gimi2US) – Academic and Professional Exchange Program
International academic exchange initiatives connecting high school and university leaders, educators, and students with American institutions, fostering long-term professional relationships and supporting global knowledge exchange while encouraging participants to contribute to their home communities.

The scientific program of the 55th Annual Scientific Meeting will cover a broad range of biomedical and surgical topics for a multidisciplinary audience: primary care physicians, specialists and basic medical scientists who seek to improve their understanding of the scientific basis of clinical medicine and its applications to patient care.
This conference is a superb opportunity to meet fellow Hungarians involved in medical sciences in the United States in a family friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The social programs and organized sport activities (water polo, soccer, beach volleyball, beach run, tennis, etc.) will provide ample opportunities to relax and enjoy one of the best beaches in the country.
