Balázs Gálffy received his medical degree in general medicine from the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia in 2016 and became a hematologist at the Slovak Medical University in 2022. He is also a PhD student at the Comenius University. His research interests focus on treatment of acute leukemias, hematopoietic stem cell transplantations and their complications. He currently works at the Department of Hematology and Transfusiology in Bratislava, which is the only center in Slovakia where autologous and allogeneic transplantations from related and unrelated donors are performed. During his university studies, he acted as the president of the Hans Selye Club (SEJK) and organized many academic discussions and summer internships.
