Dr. Geza Acs served as Member of the Board of Directors in 2006-2008 and Secretary of the HMAA 2008-2022. Currently he is the President-Elect of the HMAA. He received his MD and PhD from the University of Debrecen School of Medicine. He served as Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD and trained in Anatomic Pathology and Surgical Pathology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Acs served as Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and subsequently as Associate Member at the Moffitt Cancer Center and Associate Professor of Oncologic Sciences and Pathology and Cell Biology at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, Tampa, FL. Dr. Acs is currently Medical Director of Breast and Gynecologic Pathology at Women’s Pathology Consultants, Ruffolo Hooper & Associates and Professor of Pathology and Cell Biology at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, FL.  His research interests focus on the mechanisms of lymphatic tumor metastasis, and histologic and molecular prognostic/predictive factors in breast cancer.
