Dr. Gabor Horvath graduated from the University of Pecs Medical School, Faculty of Medicine, Hungary in 2011. He received the Pro Scientia Award of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2009. He performed research in the Department of Anatomy at the University of Pecs and obtained his PhD degree in 2016. He specialized in pediatrics (2020) then pediatric oncohematology (2024) and currently working as a pediatric oncohematologist at the Oncohematological Unit of the Pediatric Clinic at the University of Pecs Medical School. He has been a member of the HMAA Hungary Chapter since 2007 and became a Hungary Chapter Board member in 2010. He worked as a local representative of the HMAA HC in Pecs for 5 years (2010-2014), he was the HMAA HC Exchange program officer for 7 years (2012-2019). Dr. Horvath serves on the HMAA Board of Directors as one of the Liaisons for Hungary and also the president of the HMAA Hungary Chapter.
