Gábor Horváth graduated from the Univeristy of Pécs, Faculty of Medicine in 2011. During his studies he spent rotations in Japan, Kuwait and the United States of America. He received a Pro Scientia Golden Medal in 2009. He has been a HMAA Hungary Chapter member since 2007, and became a Hungary Chapter board member in 2010. He worked as a local representative of HMAA HC in Pecs for 5 years (2010-2014). Then he became the HMAA HC Exchange Program Officer for 5 years (2014-2019). He is the HMAA Hungarian Liaison (2016-) and a HMAA HC Advisory Board member (2020-).

He was doing scientific research at the Anatomy Department of the University of Pecs. His research topic is the role of environmental factors in the development and protection of the central nervous system. He has published 1 peer-reviewed paper and 1 book chapter and coauthor of 7 more scientific papers. He received his PhD degree in 2016. Since 2015 he is working in the Pediatrics Department of the Universtity of Pécs. His special field of interest is pediatric oncohematology. He speaks English fluently and Norwegian at a basic level.
