In the last ten years, Dr. Koller has been investigating the role of intravascular pressure and flow in the autoregulation of total cerebral blood flow in health and diseased conditions. The institutions involved are listed in the abstract. My colleagues – among others – are Peter Toth, Nikolett Szarka, Peter Cseplo, Zoltan Ungvari, Andras Buki, Anna Csiszar, Dong Sun and An Huang. Our findings are important to understand the potential mechanisms if which are impaired, they contribute to the development of stroke and vascular dementia. This international collaboration involves the Semmelweis University, University of Pecs, Hungary, University of Oklahoma and New York Medical College, USA. Currently, Dr. Koller serves as President of the HMAA Hungary Chapter.
